The work Two Prints by the Artist by James E. Allen was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August this year. It achieved a price of USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,789.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James E. Allen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Builders (Ryan 62) sold at auction in February 2003 with the realized price of USD 3,107.00 (€ 2,882.46).

Die Arbeit Two Prints by the Artist von James E. Allen kam im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.789,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James E. Allen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Builders (Ryan 62) im Februar 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 3.107,00 (€ 2.882,46).
