In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A Fishing Vessel Leaving The Harbour by James Hardy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 840.00 (€ 1,234.07), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Hardy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A successful shoot in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,965.09).

Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fishing Vessel Leaving The Harbour von James Hardy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.234,07) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Hardy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A successful shoot im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.965,09).
