Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Doocherry Road, Co Donegal by James Humbert Craig. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,364.85), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Humbert Craig have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Soft Day, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 69,600.00 (€ 102,421.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Doocherry Road, Co Donegal von James Humbert Craig zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.364,85) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Humbert Craig auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Soft Day, Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.600,00 (€ 102.421,11).
