Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Venetian capriccio by James Salt was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,196.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Salt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Venetian cappriccio; and A Venetian backwater in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,254.47).

Die Arbeit A Venetian capriccio von James Salt kam im Mai 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.196,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Salt erzielen.
