It achieved a price of GBP 289,800.00 (€ 333,838.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 45%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Ward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Terrier, Stoat And Dead Rabbit In A Rocky Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 512,000.00 (€ 752,192.71).
