Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 Bonhams in London held the auction The Jamini Roy Online Sale, which included the work Untitled (Mrig Darshan) by Jamini Roy. It changed hands for a price of GBP 896.00 (€ 1,499.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamini Roy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Dralha) in September last year with an auction result of USD 579,600.00 (€ 592,456.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Jamini Roy Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Mrig Darshan) von Jamini Roy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 896,00 (€ 1.499,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamini Roy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Dralha) im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 579.600,00 (€ 592.456,30).
