Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Hurouf: The Art of The Word, which included the work Rhapsody by Jamshid Bayrami. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,420.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jamshid Bayrami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Line of Devotion, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Hurouf: The Art of The Word durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rhapsody von Jamshid Bayrami zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.420,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jamshid Bayrami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In the Line of Devotion beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) versteigert wurde.
