In May 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work A snow covered Village by Jan Boon. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,250.00 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Boon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Magnolias in a ginger pot, which sold at auction in June 2000 for NLG 19,893.40 (€ 8,488.82).

Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A snow covered Village von Jan Boon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.250,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Boon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Magnolias in a ginger pot beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für NLG 19.893,40 (€ 8.488,82) versteigert wurde.
