Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Bulthuis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2018. In the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction, the work View of the Hoogesluis on the Buitenamstel sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,620.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Bulthuis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Naval Battle, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,147.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Bulthuis erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 wurde die Arbeit View of the Hoogesluis on the Buitenamstel für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.620,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Bulthuis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Naval Battle beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.147,71) versteigert wurde.
