Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Tavern Interior With Peasants Merrymaking by Jan Miense Molenaer was sold in the Old Masters: No Reserves auction at Christies in New York in June last year. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 10,831.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Miense Molenaer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Duet: A Self Portrait Of The Artist With His Wife, Judith Leyster, Probably Their Marriage Portrait in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,405,000.00 (€ 1,781,481.48).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Duet: A Self Portrait Of The Artist With His Wife, Judith Leyster, Probably Their Marriage Portrait im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.405.000,00 (€ 1.781.481,48).
