In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A Farmyard With A Milkmaid And A Herdsman by Jan van Gool. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,602.41), 65% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan van Gool; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Elegant Company By A Tavern, With Cows, Sheep, Goats And Other Animals sold at auction in May 2006 with the realized price of EUR 20,400.00.

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Farmyard With A Milkmaid And A Herdsman von Jan van Gool zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.602,41) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan van Gool; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit An Elegant Company By A Tavern, With Cows, Sheep, Goats And Other Animals im Mai 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 20.400,00.
