In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, 19th Century Sculptures auction, the work Cavalier Et Bergers Avec Leur Troupeau Devant Un Paysage De Rivière sold for EUR 14,026.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan van Gool; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Elegant Company By A Tavern, With Cows, Sheep, Goats And Other Animals sold at auction in May 2006 with the realized price of EUR 20,400.00.
