A top price for Janine Niepce - as previously expected
The work Au Luxembourg, 1965 by Janine Niepce was sold in the Trésors des photographes des agences du groupe Hachette Photo auction at Artcurial in Paris in November 2006. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,933.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Au Luxembourg, 1965 is the most expensive artwork by Janine Niepce that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Au Luxembourg, 1965 von Janine Niepce wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion Trésors des photographes des agences du groupe Hachette Photo bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.933,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Au Luxembourg, 1965 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Janine Niepce, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
