Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern Native American Art, which included the work "Camas #41M," 1980 by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith. The price achieved of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,967.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I See Red: Talking to the Ancestors in November last year with an auction result of USD 642,600.00 (€ 622,493.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern Native American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Camas #41M," 1980 von Jaune Quick-to-See Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.967,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jaune Quick-to-See Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I See Red: Talking to the Ancestors im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 642.600,00 (€ 622.493,46).
