In May 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures, which included the work Deux Musulmanes Au Cimetière De Rabat by Jean A. Mercier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 496.00 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean A. Mercier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group of framed illustrations in June 2014 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,761.14).

Im Mai 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux Musulmanes Au Cimetière De Rabat von Jean A. Mercier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 496,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean A. Mercier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A group of framed illustrations im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.761,14).
