Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La lecture by Jean-Baptiste Mallet was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. The price achieved of EUR 5,248.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste Mallet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Innocence Et La Fidélité Ramenant L'Amour in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 31,200.00.

Die Arbeit La lecture von Jean-Baptiste Mallet wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.248,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Mallet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Innocence Et La Fidélité Ramenant L'Amour im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.200,00.
