Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Le dragon by Jean Dufy. The price achieved of USD 22,950.00 (€ 21,452.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Dufy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le dragon von Jean Dufy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.950,00 (€ 21.452,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Dufy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 210.119,35).
