Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Pêche, 1936 by Jean Dunand was sold in the Collection Claude et Simone Dray - Art Déco auction at Christies in Paris in June 2006. The price achieved of EUR 120,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Dunand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 301,250.00 (€ 375,344.25).

Die Arbeit La Pêche, 1936 von Jean Dunand wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion Collection Claude et Simone Dray - Art Déco bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 120.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Dunand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 301.250,00 (€ 375.344,25) versteigert wurde.
