A top price for Jean François Fortchantre - as previously expected
In May last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Lorenz Bäumer Collectionneur !, which included the work Toits sous la neige, 2018 by Jean François Fortchantre. The price achieved of EUR 1,512.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Toits sous la neige, 2018 is the most expensive artwork by Jean François Fortchantre that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Lorenz Bäumer Collectionneur ! durch, in der auch die Arbeit Toits sous la neige, 2018 von Jean François Fortchantre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.512,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Toits sous la neige, 2018 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jean François Fortchantre, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
