Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures Among Architectural Ruins by Jean-François Janinet for USD 180.00 (€ 140.86). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-François Janinet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nina, ou La Folle par amour, after C. Hoin (Inventaire du Fond Français 18e siècle, XII, no.70) in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,845.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures Among Architectural Ruins von Jean-François Janinet für USD 180,00 (€ 140,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-François Janinet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nina, ou La Folle par amour, after C. Hoin (Inventaire du Fond Français 18e siècle, XII, no.70) im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.912,00 (€ 2.845,63).
