In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Voltaire Debout, Dans Un Paysage by Jean Huber. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,969.37), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Huber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frau bei der Handarbeit. in March 2015 with an auction result of CHF 8,400.00 (€ 8,051.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Voltaire Debout, Dans Un Paysage von Jean Huber zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.969,37) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Huber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frau bei der Handarbeit. im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 8.400,00 (€ 8.051,99).
