Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aloalo (Poteau Funéraire), 1995 by Jean-Jacques Efiaimbelo was sold in the African Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Jacques Efiaimbelo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dieu Juge Un Dahalo (Voleur De Zébus), 2007, which sold at auction in May last year for EUR 7,872.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Aloalo (Poteau Funéraire), 1995 von Jean-Jacques Efiaimbelo wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion African Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques Efiaimbelo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dieu Juge Un Dahalo (Voleur De Zébus), 2007 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für EUR 7.872,00 versteigert wurde.
