The work Le Départ Pour Le Marché by Jean-Louis de Marne was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2019. It achieved a price of EUR 5,200.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Louis de Marne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling peasants with their cattle and sheep in a landscape; and Figures with animals outside an inn beside a wheat field in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,176.64).

Die Arbeit Le Départ Pour Le Marché von Jean-Louis de Marne kam im Dezember 2019 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 5.200,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Louis de Marne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling peasants with their cattle and sheep in a landscape; and Figures with animals outside an inn beside a wheat field im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 55.176,64).
