Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction From the Fondation Napoléon, which included the work Le Passage Du Bac by Jean-Louis de Marne. The price achieved of EUR 5,460.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Louis de Marne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling peasants with their cattle and sheep in a landscape; and Figures with animals outside an inn beside a wheat field in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,176.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion From the Fondation Napoléon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Passage Du Bac von Jean-Louis de Marne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.460,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Louis de Marne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling peasants with their cattle and sheep in a landscape; and Figures with animals outside an inn beside a wheat field im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 55.176,64).
