The work Paysage by Jean Metzinger was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,445.58), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Metzinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Cycliste in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,015,000.00 (€ 3,494,391.84).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Paysage von Jean Metzinger kam im Februar 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.445,58) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Metzinger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Cycliste im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.015.000,00 (€ 3.494.391,84).
