Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Peak Production, 1963 by Jean Tinguely was sold in the Swiss Art auction at Christies in Geneva in June 2008. Here, the upper estimate of CHF 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CHF 72,000.00 (€ 44,814.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Tinguely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Métamatic No. 7 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,333,083.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peak Production, 1963 von Jean Tinguely wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Swiss Art bei Christies in Genf versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CHF 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CHF 72.000,00 (€ 44.814,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Tinguely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Métamatic No. 7 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.049.250,00 (€ 1.333.083,94).
