Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Junkboats in the Cheung Chau Harbour by Jean Volang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,185.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 48,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Volang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le modèle in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 57,088.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Junkboats in the Cheung Chau Harbour von Jean Volang kam im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.185,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 48.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Volang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le modèle im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 57.088,53).
