Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Cherubs by Jeff Koons for GBP 482,600.00 (€ 549,050.72). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cherubs von Jeff Koons für GBP 482.600,00 (€ 549.050,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
