Despite a disappointment, a good price for Jen Lewin
When the work Chandelier Harp by Jen Lewin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 47,880.00 (€ 41,447.37). Despite this disappointing result, Chandelier Harp is the most expensive artwork by Jen Lewin that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Jen Lewin
Als die Arbeit Chandelier Harp von Jen Lewin im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 47.880,00 (€ 41.447,37) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Chandelier Harp das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jen Lewin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
