The Edison Drops consist of three interactive Edison Orbs. Created from vintage glass and embedded custom electronics, this sculpture will ripple and pulse based on movement from participants below.

Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Edison Drops by Jen Lewin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 31,500.00 (€ 27,268.01). Other works by Jen Lewin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2021 by the work Chandelier Harp at USD 47,880.00 (€ 41,447.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Edison Drops von Jen Lewin im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 31.500,00 (€ 27.268,01) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jen Lewin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit Chandelier Harp mit USD 47.880,00 (€ 41.447,37).
