Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danish Skovsø (Lake With Trees) by Joachim Frederik Skovgaard was sold in the The Scandinavian Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,950.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Joachim Frederik Skovgaard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2024 the work A youth holding a branch, to the left two flying doves was auctioned for DKK 9,500.00 (€ 8,302.74).
