The work Untitled - Circa 1969 by Joan Mitchell was worth EUR 2,530,400.00 to a buyer in June last year. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 800,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of USD 29,160,000.00 (€ 26,732,673.27).

Die Arbeit Untitled - Circa 1969 von Joan Mitchell war einem Käufer im Juni letzten Jahres EUR 2.530.400,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Mitchell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.160.000,00 (€ 26.732.673,27).
