The work Canal de Xochimilco by Joaquín Clausell was sold in the Latin American Sale Day Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2008. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,633.21), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joaquín Clausell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bosque in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 178,601.45).

Die Arbeit Canal de Xochimilco von Joaquín Clausell wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.633,21) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joaquín Clausell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bosque im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 178.601,45).
