In the Latin American Art auction, the work Cabezas de hombre y mujer a siete tonos (also known as Iniciación del drama-cabezas de hombre mujer a siete tonos) sold for USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,355.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Torres-García achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción En Blanco in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).
