Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Constructivo A Cinco Tonos Con Dos Figuras Discutiendo by Joaquín Torres-García for USD 175,000.00 (€ 156,964.75). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Torres-García achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción En Blanco in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).

Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Constructivo A Cinco Tonos Con Dos Figuras Discutiendo von Joaquín Torres-García für USD 175.000,00 (€ 156.964,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joaquín Torres-García erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construcción En Blanco im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.380.000,00 (€ 3.031.662,03).
