Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Norwegian Waterfall In Hemsedal by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 142,250.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2007 the work View Of Dresden From The Road To Meissen was auctioned for USD 240,000.00 (€ 184,643.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Norwegian Waterfall In Hemsedal von Johan Christian Clausen Dahl zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 142.250,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Johan Christian Clausen Dahl konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2007 die Arbeit View Of Dresden From The Road To Meissen für USD 240.000,00 (€ 184.643,79) versteigert.
