It achieved a price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,478.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Walter-Kurau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nude with dolls, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 45,650.00 (€ 55,194.28).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.478,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Walter-Kurau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nude with dolls beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 45.650,00 (€ 55.194,28) versteigert wurde.
