Die Arbeit Portrait of Anne Francine von John Carroll kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.420,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Carroll erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Champions im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 25.702,28).
