Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl On A Hill by John Currin was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 600,000.00 (€ 492,045.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Currin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nice 'n Easy in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 12,007,500.00 (€ 11,351,389.68).
