Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A figure on a river bank, cottages and a bridge beyond by John Falconar Slater. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,746.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Falconar Slater have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Over Putney Heath in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,859.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A figure on a river bank, cottages and a bridge beyond von John Falconar Slater zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.746,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Falconar Slater auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Over Putney Heath im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.019,00 (€ 7.859,82).
