Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work British Mr. Thomas Cosby'S Racehorse Pussy With Trainer And Jockey—William Day And His Brother John Day— At A Finishing Post by John Ferneley, Sen. was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 85,000.00 (€ 74,699.01), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Sen. achieve. Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit British Mr. Thomas Cosby'S Racehorse Pussy With Trainer And Jockey—William Day And His Brother John Day— At A Finishing Post von John Ferneley, Sen. wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
