The work Peregrine falcon and duck by John Guille Millais was sold in the The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire auction at Christies in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,055.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Peregrine falcon and duck is the most expensive artwork by John Guille Millais that we have observed at auctions so far.
