The »bidding war« ended at GBP 576.00 (€ 852.56), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Olsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Pond at Humpty-Doo, 2004 in May last year with an auction result of AUD 369,000.00 (€ 343,863.57).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 852,56) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Olsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lily Pond at Humpty-Doo, 2004 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 369.000,00 (€ 343.863,57).
