This artwork by John Moore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April 2013. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Girard sold for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,746.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Moore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pause, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,441.98).
