Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landweg Soest - A Farmyard by Joop Kropff was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for NLG 1,880.00 (€ 903.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joop Kropff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Street, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,146.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landweg Soest - A Farmyard von Joop Kropff im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für NLG 1.880,00 (€ 903,62) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Joop Kropff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Village Street beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.146,09) versteigert wurde.
