Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joris van Son could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A garland of peaches, damsons, grapes, pears, cobb nuts, maize and other fruits and flowers surrounding a stone cartouche with sculpted angels changed hands for GBP 5,376.00 (€ 6,192.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joris van Son achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Grapes, A Melon, An Orange, Plums And Oysters In A Stone Niche in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 130,396.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joris van Son konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit A garland of peaches, damsons, grapes, pears, cobb nuts, maize and other fruits and flowers surrounding a stone cartouche with sculpted angels für GBP 5.376,00 (€ 6.192,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joris van Son erzielen.
