Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Escena en el Kibbutz by José Gurvich was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,478.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Gurvich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Estructura Con Figuras in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,534.70).

Die Arbeit Escena en el Kibbutz von José Gurvich kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.478,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Gurvich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Estructura Con Figuras im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.534,70).
