Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by José Gurvich could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,308.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Gurvich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Estructura Con Figuras in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,534.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von José Gurvich konnte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.308,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Gurvich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Estructura Con Figuras im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.534,70).
