Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Väva vadmal" by Josef Wilhelm Wallander was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 10,000.00 (€ 953.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Wilhelm Wallander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Humleskörd i Askarboda, Österåker" in December 2016 with an auction result of SEK 420,000.00 (€ 43,822.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Väva vadmal" von Josef Wilhelm Wallander im Dezember 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 10.000,00 (€ 953,06) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Wilhelm Wallander erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Humleskörd i Askarboda, Österåker" im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 420.000,00 (€ 43.822,97).
