A top price for Joseph Dierickx - as previously expected
The work Le Lavoir au gymnase by Joseph Dierickx was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2017. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 40,779.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Le Lavoir au gymnase is the most expensive artwork by Joseph Dierickx that we have observed at auctions so far.
